Long Overdue

I know this is long overdue and I'm not even doing the other posts that I know I promised you on the remodel projects.  But they will be coming.  I promise.  I am, however, going to post my pictures from instagram so you get an idea of what I've been up to the last 6 weeks.  You can follow me on instagram-  jkknobloch

I went Christmas shopping November 1st with Liz, Alex, & Marissa.  This was our haul.

Decorating for Christmas when it's 65 degrees just seems wrong.

Thank you, Wlagreens, for supporting my addiction.  #candycaneeverything

Gifts for Hartford residents.  Kent & Marissa & us went shopping for 80 residents one evening.  Then, as a church we wrap them and deliver them.  This may be the only gift they receive for Christmas and are so appreciative!  It's humbling, really.

Can you tell which gender was wrapping gifts tonight?

Yep!  The men!

Date night in a deer blind.  You win some, you lose some...

Successful date night.  I filled my tags.  #ihaveaproudhubby
Sorry for the gruesome pic of the second deer

And between all of these posts, I have been busy baking, working on orders, and completing our home study.  Thanks so much to all of you that follow along!  May you be filled with joy and happiness this Christmas season and always.

P.S.  I can't get rid of the big space at the top of the post, not sure what happened!  Sorry :)

Pranks and the cutest visitors!

My brother Kyle and his family came and visited a couple weeks ago and we had such a good time.
The kids helped me prank my sister-in-law by putting googly eyes on everything in her fridge.  We also took glow in the dark ones and put them on her bedroom windows and on the soap, shampoo, etc. in her bathrooms.  Ha!  Don't you think all things look cuter with eyes?

We hit up Dairy Queen after a little bit of shopping.
I had gotten some fun colored bubbles to try, but was royally disappointed...  They were colored in the bottles, but once you blew them, you couldn't tell at all.  Notice Tessa's super cute boots!  It was the best shopping purchase of the day.  She kept saying, "I can't stop looking at my boots!"  A girl after my own heart <3
After Tessa ate her blue slushie, she pretended to lick the sidewalk chalk popsicle.  It just happened to match.
I didn't have any pictures of Drake because he went with the men to fill an airplane with seed that flew over some of our ground to plant it.  I'm pretty sure that was a whole lot funner than shopping with the girls!
Aren't they just adorable?!  I will most definitely claim them as my nieces and nephew!...well... most of the time :)  Just kidding!  Love you guys and you need to quit growing up so fast!  It seems like yesterday you were born!  Even though I don't get to see you near as often as I would like, you always make me feel special!  Looking forward to seeing you at Thanksgiving!

It's beginning to look a lot like fall...

One of these days I may surprise you and post more than just once a month!  I made a few things for my fall decor collection this year, but you may recognize a lot of it from last year.

I wrapped a foam wreath in burlap ribbon to start with.  I cut a twig off of a tree and hot glued it inside the wreath.  I made the 4 fabric flowers at the top and added the letters, as well as the banner.  I had found these cute owls at Wal-Mart and knew they needed to find a good home.  They are actually salt & pepper shakers. :)

I found this Indian corn at Hobby Lobby and wasn't sure what I was going to do with it when I got it but it was just so cute!  I am attracted to miniature things for some strange reason...  I put a candle in the middle of my Pampered Chef Trifle bowl and surrounded it with the corn and more twigs.

It is our centerpiece on our kitchen table.

If you are a long time reader, you may remember when my awesome husband built me these planters last year for my mums.

And of course we have to have hay bales and pumpkins!

I believe my mantel looks pretty much the same as it did last year.  There may be a few differences.

Like this cute owl...

I'm not exactly sure what these dried pumpkin things are, but I do know that if you use a fall smelling oil in them, they are a fantastic addition to any centerpiece.

I made this a few years back, but I love to set it in my kitchen window as a good reminder everyday.

Corn is all harvested now, but we are still waiting for the beans to dry down.

One of my favorite things to do!  I LOVE riding with Jake in the combine, tractor, or whatever.  But I think an air ride seat or a buddy seat would be a good investment for us...

We hope all of our farmer friends and family have a safe and happy harvest!

A Little Bit of Everything

Just wanted to give you all a quick catch-up on our life since it's been awhile and we've been super busy!

Rainbows always remind me of Noah's Ark and God's promise.
We started a remodel project.  We took that wall out and opened up the kitchen into the living room.

This was my job.  If you use a black or brown marker on the cut edges before you put them up, you don't see the lighter edges of the trim.  I also got to run the nail gun a little bit :)  With supervision, of course.

Playing Jenga.  I can't play this game... I get way too stressed out!
My office for the afternoon and evening one day.  My job was to gather the hay bales with the skidsteer and put them in rows of 8 so when the trucks came back from each load, they would be ready to load and not have to go gather their load.
I actually really enjoyed running the Bobcat.  Shhh... don't tell Jake!

We went to West Bend a few weeks ago for a surprise birthday celebration for a special friend!
Working on lettering for a cake with Lizzy for a friend's 30th birthday.
Isn't that an incredible camera!  I know I say this every time I post a picture of one of her cakes, but isn't she amazing?!
Finished product with the lettering.  I ended up downloading the Canon logo and cutting it on my Silhouette Cameo out of white vinyl.  I also cut the "HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY SARA" out of vinyl.
I also designed and cut this with Silhouette Studio to put on a picture for my sister-in-law.
My sweet little niece!

In the midst of the other remodel project I decided that this red room that has been bothering me for 5 years HAS to get done!  After we were first married, I thought it would be great to have an all red guest bedroom...  The red paint I got was really runny and just dripped EVERYWHERE!  It was so bad, that I pretty much gave up and closed that door and no one ever stayed in there.  The floor had paint drips and everything.  So imagine a whole room like this picture.  I will hopefully be updating you on this room in the near future.
We started corn harvest!  I LOVE this time of year!

This runaway is the product of trying to tag her newborn calf.  She was NOT happy with us.  She put Jake through a fence and chased me around the garage several times.
Sorting cattle and tagging the babies.
I know this isn't a very good picture, but I wasn't going to take the chance in getting closer after the last run around.  We went out one morning to sort the calves off and this one was just being born!  I have only witnessed that a hand full of times and it's amazing every time.
We went on a birthday date for me last week to Topeka.  He wouldn't look normal at my camera, so this is the best you get.
Not sure what's going on with my pose here, but this is also as good as it gets.
We went to Red Robin and did some shopping afterwards.  As always, it was an awesome burger and sweet potato fries.  Have I ever told you how much I like sweet potato fries?  I kinda get excited when I see them on the menu!
We came home with several Hosta plants that were on sale.  Jake really enjoys landscaping and decided he wanted a Hosta bed.

So I think I have caught you up to date on our lives.  I am still working on the "red room" that I hope to finish this week.  I also did some t-shirt designing for the football and volleyball moms at school.  I am hoping to finish cutting them today and can move into fall decorations!  I am really looking forward to that!  Happy Fall Y'all!
